You might say horse training
is in her blood. Amber Wimberley remembers watching her grandfather
build a foundation with groundwork and common-sense horsemanship
on each horse that he trained. Amber’s family soon recognized
her natural knack for horse training. Her first horse, Apache,
clocked many, many miles!
At age 15, Amber trained
her first barrel horse and began competing in local community
shows. Her knack was obvious and her training career had begun.
An opportunity to apprentice
under Andy Castro at Cutting Loose Ranch soon became available
giving Amber the hands on experience that has further defined
her training methods. She learned many invaluable lessons
during this apprenticeship and experienced, first hand, the
rewards of good horsemanship.
During this time, Andy introduced
her to the thrill of cutting. Amber is now an active member
in NCHA and competes regularly in cutting competitions throughout
Kentucky.

Working W Training Facility
is, at its core, a family. At the Working W, you will encounter
a positive and enjoyable training atmosphere, with an experienced
team that loves what it does.
Our 15 stall facility is
located just fifteen minutes from Shelbyville or La Grange.
We train in a covered arena, a larger outside arena and have
access to local trails.
“Good
horses make good riders and good horses make good trainers.”
