With ten years of training experience, Amber has learned that in order for any training program to be effective, it must be individualized to fit the personality and temperament of the horse. Patience, understanding and consistency are essential components of the training technique.

Through her apprenticeship, Amber learned three major keys that are implemented in every day life:

  • Safety for horse and rider must always be the number one rule.
  • Horses will only do what is expected of them. Reasonable but challenging expectations provide the best results.
  • Each training session should end on a positive note.

This style of training is greatly effective with any breed, size or age and offers a solid foundation for any discipline.

What People Are Saying

I highly recommend Amber and the Working W training center. I sent my unbroke Thorobred X filly, who had quite her own attitude as a baby. I was AMAZED at what was accomplished with her in only a 3 month stay. She could walk, trot and canter, load, tie, be saddled quitely, and had gone on numerous trail rides.I was very impressed with the amount of patience that was bestowed upon my rather moody, opinionated filly. She is now winning consistently in the beginning hunter divisions, and I am very grateful for her solid start. Thanks Amber!!!!

If you have found Working W Training then you should look no further! Words cannot express what a wonderful experience I have had while my horses have been in the care of Amber and her team. If you simply need to board, need care for a horse needing medical supervision or training, you will find excellence in all areas of service. I have watched her transform my sweet, but untrained 2 y/o "Sophie" into a great trail horse...I am so excited! Amber is always more than willing to take extra time to help you work out solutions to any problem or questions, her experience and understanding shine through. Amber may be small in stature but she commands a wonderful presence with her understanding of horses and the needs of her customers. She is truly a great asset to those who are lucky enough to find her facility for their horses. Thanks Amber and Team for taking such great care with my girls. Micki Kidd

“But what matters more than winning is how much fun it is to ride a cutting horse.
Once I get out there, everything – all my fears – seem to disappear.
It’s like bungee jumping: you never know if this time the rope will break,
because you don’t have control over it. That’s the thrill.”
